Awake at 07:10, up at 09:30.
I’m planing on meeting my aunt Joke (that’s YOKE-uh) and uncle Rob today. They’re retired and spend most of their time touring around Europe and the world. Home for them is the Netherlands.
They’re staying at the camping just outside Neuf-Brisach! I’m waiting to hear back from them; meanwhile I’m going to eat a porridge and apple breakfast.

09:49: I’m in Bertoldsbrunnen. On my way to the map shop. No word from Joke via either email or WhatsApp.
10:44: Map shopping done. €26.99.
11:40: Wandering around. Finally got a message from Joke. They’re on their way to the town. I’m going to sit and read for a bit with a hot chocolate. The day is warm and sunny.
13:48: €25.56 for lunch and coffee for Joke and Rob.
16:26: A lovely relaxed afternoon hanging around with Joke and Rob. Get the snap from her of me and the plush wild boar! Dropping home for a bit and then out to the Netto for some shopping.
16:54: On the way to Netto and MediaMarkt.1
18:30: Shopping done. €9.37 for carrots, bread, butter, salad cream, yoghurt, appelmoes2, eggs, scallions, soap, loo paper, bin bags.
23:06: Transcribed a day and a half from the previous notebook into blot.im and caught up on some email conversations. I skipped dinner because I had lunch and dinner in town with Joke and Rob. Instead, I had two small bowls of appelmoes and yoghurt. Tomorrow’s breakfast will be omelette I think. Also I discovered Google Voice typing is tolerable for getting content into a text editor quickly. I think I’ll give that a try tomorrow.
Oh, and Luiza came around and did my washing for €2. I think she went a bit heavy on the detergent because the whole room smells of it now. I’ll air them tomorrow as well.
