We slept really well under a too-warm quilt and I woke at the usual time of 07:08. Aisling was still in a coma so we chatted briefly and then I flipped over and fell back to sleep. We woke properly at 09:00 and now we’re slowly starting the day.
The soles of my feet ache. They’ll be glad of the rest over the next week. Aisling’s washing yesterday’s socks and soon we’ll pop out to the boulangerie for fresh bread.
12:41: Out on the street.
15:50: Taking shelter in another café/bar while the rain comes down. We’ve been slowly exploring the city centre, taking in the cathedral, shopping streets, café, two pastries and a biscuit, hot chocolate and café-au-lait.
Aisling bought a scarf in Zara in mid-twentieth-century cartoon book colours. Ang vaire dulow. Map of south-west Germany, €6.95.
20:29: Settling down to an Indian meal at “Un Indien dans a Ville”. €28.00.
22:30: Wander home.
